What we do

Trace heating for frost protection and temperature maintenance

Trace heating serves two key purposes: protecting vulnerable pipework from freezing and maintaining the temperature needed for a process or system. We install, test and maintain electric trace heating on pipework and tanks, including fire sprinkler applications.

We can inspect the controller, heating cable and associated electrical components, then address faults or damage that could affect frost protection or temperature control. The heating cable sits beneath the insulation, so both parts need to work together.

Frost protection and temperature maintenance

Our trace heating work includes installation and checks on heating cable, controllers and electrical connections for both frost protection and maintaining specified temperatures. We also look at the condition of insulation, since damaged or missing insulation can undermine the system’s performance.

From our North East base, we support facilities management companies and commercial and industrial customers throughout the UK. We coordinate access and the scope of work with your site team.

We can coordinate this work with thermal insulation and cladding repairs and sprinkler pump house electrics.
